Attendance.

20 min personal novel reading time. Students have personally selected novels to read during this time allotment. 

While students are reading - send your EA Ms. Evans to the library to obtain the laptop cart #1 (to be used for the last assignment of the day)

Next - Students - last day you worked on a perspective piece - What is happiness? via Teams.

Today we will focus on - What is success? 

Intro to the video - 

Jamie Anderson is a speaker, author and cyclist. Named as a “management guru” in the Financial Times, Jamie has also been included on a list of the world’s “top 25 management thinkers” by the journal Business Strategy Review

Students to view - - What is Success Really - Ted Talk 

Show video via projector - remote should be on the teacher desk. Sound controlled from the remote - also via you tube (via link above). 

Host small discussion post video. Thoughts?

Remainder of class - students to complete - Paragraph Response - What is Success? 

Task In > Office 365 Teams > Assignments > What is Success Paragraph Response 

Task: Answer as a full paragraph - min 5 sentences with introduction topic sentence as well as concluding full sentence: Due - end of class. 

Q: After having viewed the What is Success Really piece - What is success to you? Did the piece change your view of success? Why or why not? 

*If time - students please check that you also have your Teams Happiness Perspective 2 paragraph piece submitted from last class!
