Defined:

Chapter 4 Vocabulary

  1. Cynical: Believing that people are motivated by self-interest; distrustful of human sincerity or integrity.

  2. Trepidation: A feeling of fear or anxiety about something that may happen.

  3. Rancor: Bitterness or resentfulness, especially when long-standing.

  4. Sanctimonious: Making a show of being morally superior to other people.

  5. Skepticism: An attitude of doubt toward something; questioning or disbelief.

  6. Ideologue: An adherent of an ideology, especially one who is uncompromising and dogmatic.

  7. Prosaic: Lacking poetic beauty; commonplace; unromantic.

Please send your EA and or student to the office with any absences (post it note)  NOTE: Please send ALL class notes to me post class completion via email so that I am aware of how much was completed of the lesson below.
